Private Hospitals

Gatwick Park Hospital, Horley, Surrey.
The Gatwick Park Hospital is a private hospital in Horley, situated next to Gatwick Airport.

The hospital provides all necessary equipment for Upper Limb and Foot Surgery, including the facility for upper limb arthroscopy, small and large joint replacement, MRI scanning, high-resolution ultrasound scanning and CT scanning.

A Clinic is held weekly on Wednesday afternoon. Additional appointment times are available upon request. Surgery is performed on Wednesday morning (and at other times in emergencies). The Hand Therapist sees patients in the clinic after surgery.

All patients will be seen and operated on by Mr Bhat every time. There are no trainees or therapists making decisions on his behalf. The waiting time is usually 1-2 weeks.

Ashtead Hospital, Ashtead, Surrey
This is a private hospital situated within 5 minutes from junction 9 of M25.

The hospital provides all necessary equipment for Upper limb and Foot Surgery, MRI scanning, high-resolution ultrasound scanning and CT scanning.

There are alternate week Clinics on Thursday afternoons. Surgery will be performed alternate Thursday afternoons.

All patients will be seen and operated on by Mr Bhat every time. There are no trainees or therapists making decisions on his behalf. The waiting time is usually 1-2 weeks.

 Clock House Healthcare Limited
This is a private hospital situated opposite Epsom Hospital.The hospital provides out-patient services, facility for steroid injections, Xiapex injections and minor surgery. There is a facility for MRI Scanning on site.

There are alternate week Clinics on Thursday evenings. Injections and minor surgery can be carried out at the same time, if necessary.

All patients will be seen and operated on by Mr Bhat every time. There are no trainees or therapists making decisions on his behalf. The waiting time is usually 1-2 weeks.

NHS Hospitals

East Surrey Hospital, Redhill, Surrey.
This is a NHS Hospital in Redhill, less than 5 minutes from the Redhill aerodrome and 10 minutes from Redhill rail station. The Orthopaedic Surgery Department provides a general Trauma Service to care for all injured patients, and specialised clinics to include Hand, Shoulder, Knee, Paediatric, Hip, Foot and Spinal Surgery.

Mr Bhat attends the clinic and one or two trainee surgeons, who will usually see only follow up patients on their own and seek advice where necessary. Due to an increase in the demand on the service, Hand therapists will also see new and follow up patients and seek advice from Mr Bhat. Medical students, work experience students and other health service visitors may also attend the clinics.

As a teaching hospital, trainee surgeons, medical students and other visiting professionals such as nurses and physiotherapists usually attend the clinics and operating lists.

Mr Bhat runs a weekly clinic on Thursdays, where non-urgent patients are usually seen. Urgent patients, who will find it impossible to travel to Horsham, are also seen on a case-by-case basis. There are two Operating sessions each week at East Surrey, on Mondays. Emergency hand injuries will be operated on in the Emergency Trauma Theatre as required, provided a bed is available.

Horsham Hospital, Horsham, Sussex
This is a NHS Hospital in Horsham, less than 5 minutes from Horsham rail station. The Orthopaedic Surgery Department provides an outreach clinic service only.

Every Friday morning, Mr Bhat has a very popular fracture clinic. All fracture patients are seen including patients with Hand injuries needing expert advise.
Outpatient Clinics are held on Tuesdays. Most patients have upper limb disorders. However, general orthopaedic patients excluding spinal disorders and paediatric lower limb problems will also be seen at this clinic. The Horsham league of friends has generously donated an ultrasound scanner for this clinic. Therefore, patients can have a one-stop ultrasound scan at the clinic if necessary.

Mr Bhat attends the clinic and one or two trainee surgeons, who will usually see only follow up patients on their own and seek advice where necessary. Medical students and other health service visitors may also attend the clinics.

Crawley Hospital, Crawley, Surrey
This is a NHS Hospital in Crawley, less than 5 minutes from Gatwick Airport and Crawley rail station. The Orthopaedic Surgery Department provides a Day Surgery and minor injuries service only. There is also a Rehabilitation ward for acute patients operated on at East Surrey Hospital.

Mr Bhat operates at Crawley Hospital on Tuesdays. This is a pure day surgery list. Emergency hand injuries will be operated on here, where possible.
